Services were held Oct. 11, 2021, at First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction for Viola Margaret Brown, 92, of Grand Junction.
Pastor Steve Ransom offered words of comfort. Casket bearers were Andrew Eggert, Aaron Eggert, Richard Snow, Christopher Snow and Eric Snow. Interment was at the Junction Township Cemetery.
Viola “Vi” Margaret Pearson Eggert Brown was born May 5, 1929, to Arthur and Edith (Miller) Pearson in Guthrie Center. Throughout life, Vi raised four children: Ruth, Terry, Steven and Barb.
Between raising her children and running her own barber shop, Vi enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and volunteering with numerous groups. Vi was a member in multiple organizations such as the Methodist Church, American Legion and the Grand Junction Business Women.
Vi passed away October 5, 2021, at Greene County Medical Center.
She is survived by her children Ruth (Raymond) Casper, Terry (Susan) Eggert and Barb (T.J.) Owens of Colfax, and Steven Jeanine Eggert of Grand Junction; grandchildren Richard Snow, Christopher Snow, Eric Snow, Amanda Snow, Gena Forbes, Ray Casper, Chandra Snow, Joe Casper, Raymond Yoakum, Andrew Eggert, Aaron Eggert, Pam McDowell, Chad Lehnhoff, Julie Lee, Jeremy Lehnhoff, Deb Lukes, Kiley Davis, Cathy Hines, Tausha Banks and Mary Owens; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Vi is preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, six brothers, four sisters, and an infant grandson.
The family was assisted by Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home of Jefferson.
